The power of paper in a digital world

Summary

I feel like writing on paper has a lot of benefits that I tend to forget, like I’m able to easily write information that will always stay in front of me until I trow that paper away.

The Ideas

Writing To-dos on paper

This is exceptionally great for writing a list of tasks that will always remain in front of me, I just need to weep out a notebook, open the last page and start writing the task that I intend to do.

Why paper & not digital?

Writing digitally

Writing digitally is extremely convenient, but It has a lot of drawbacks as well, the biggest one being the fact that I forget what I wrote or forget to check on what I wrote, so I pretty much write tasks inside my daily note and then never check them

Paper

Writing on paper kinda has the same problems, but it has an amazingly simple advantage over digital, there isn’t a battery attached to the paper, it never turns off, it is always on, in the same spot, waiting for me to pick it up and write on it. So by just having a notebook or a piece of paper on my table, I can immediately see what I need to do at all times without needing to change a window or open up an app.

Conclusion

Using both in harmony

A combination of paper and digital could be used for achieving maximum efficiency, I could write all the tasks I need to do in a day digitally, without taking into account if I have time to do them that day and then only write down on paper the most important ones that can actually be done that day!
